The past for the present
Erik plunders through the ashes to find the remnants of a painting. It appears to be George Washington. The city is dark and dreary. Ash is seen everywhere. A statue of Doctor Leonard Swartzen is seen amongst all the rubble. Beneath the statue there is an inscription. "The man who saved the world." "Saved the world from disease, destroyed it in chaos," replies Erik. The doctor was able to cure all the sick that were encountered. The disease became virtually destroyed. After the end of the disease, Dr. Swartzen called for an end of another issue, democracy. The people agreed. The Swartzen led rebels fought off the government with a quick victory. After the fall of the government, the people were left looking for a new leader. They found the new leader in Dr. Swartzen. The people found the charisma in Dr. Swartzen to be that of a great leader. He was a person who would lead them to great victory. Swartzen's early days as the dictator consisted of many hardships for people. Opression was common amongst those who were not rich. Those who could best benefit Dr. Swartzen were those who lived gloriously. The people who were struggling in poverty quickly developed problems with the new dictator. His time in office would be short...
